Donald Duke "I am Back and we will take our state back"

14th June 2021, remains a memorial in the hearts of the entire citizens of Cross River State as the People's Democratic Party (PDP) totally shut down the city of calabar
Following His Excellency, Governer Ben Ayade's defection to APC and the propaganda by the Governer claiming that "when the governor leaves, everyone leaves", the good people of Cross River State have again reinterated their stand and support for the PDP family as witnessed by the gigiantic crowd which gathered during the official innuagration of the PDP care taker committee at the premises of the newly acquired PDP Secretariat,  Annex, Mary Slessor, Calabar.
The event had top PDP chieftains under the leadership of the National Chairman of  People's Democratic Party, Hon. Uche Secondus, His Excellency, Governer of Rivers State, Gov Nyesom Wike, His Excellency Governer of Akwa Ibom state, Gov. Udom Emmanuel, His Excellency former Governer of Kwara state and former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, His Excellency former Governer of Anambra State Gov Peter Obi, Senator Tambuwal representing Sokoto South, His Excellencies, former Governers of Cross River State Gov Donald Duke and Gov Liyel Imoke and a host of others who graced the occasion.

Speaking to Party faithfuls, Gov Donald Duke emphatically made it known to the entire PDP people that he has returned home to PDP where he belonged. In his words "I am back and we will take our state back" 
DD noted that if your house is intentionally set on fire by a stranger you mandated to take care of it, then it is your duty as the owner of the property to come and put out the fire, throw the person out and reclaim your property before more damages are incurred.
 
PDP chieftains further assured
millions of  Cross Riverians present during the event, that the PDP family is still very intact and everyone must continue in high spirit cos Cross River State will forever remain a PDP state.

*Senate considers establishment of North Central Development Commission

The bill seeking the establishment of North Central Development Commission (NCDC), being sponsored by the senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD and co-sponsored by all the senators from North Central, on Wednesday, passed Second Reading on the floor of the senate.  The bill, which passed First Reading on the 5th of October, 2023, was first sponsored in the 9th Senate by Senator Moro where it passed First and Second Readings but could not get presidential assent before the expiration of the 9th Senate. N30 trillion Ways and Means: Akpabio inaugurates Ad-hoc Committee, insists on impartiality. President of the Senate, Godswill Obot Akpabio, on Monday, inaugurated the Ad-hoc Committee on Ways and Means. The Committee is charged with investigating the sum of N30 trillion which was released by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN to fund projects in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. The fund which passed through the National Assembly was without details despite the commitment of the executive arm of government to do so.
