How gunmen invaded Imo Police headquarters again, slaughterered 5 Police officers

Few days after combined security

agencies hit some Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) militia men including their commander, unknown gunmen on Monday struck Ehime Mbano Police divisional headquarters in  and killed five police officers.


According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Orlando Ikokwu, the police station was not razed in the .
The PPRO also  that eight people were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Owerri after another  around Orji part of Owerri North .The men were said to be trailing an unmarked vehicle, after which they shot sporadically to escape and in the  got people injured.

In past few weeks, there has been intensed  in the Southeast with attacks mostly on police and other security agencies and operatives.


States including Imo, , Ebonyi and Abia have witnessed similar attacks.
As a , prison inmates at Owerri correctional centre escaped and most of them are still at large after gunmen struck and let them loose.
